The Mayan prophecy concerning the " end of time " is not about the end of the Earth.
The Mayan time system is based on the " katun " and the Mayan time system continues
beyond 2012. The Mayans would not have a calender that goes beyond 2012 if that were going to be the end of the Earth. In 2012 both cycles of the Mayan calender, the " long count " and the " short count " end, then new cycles will begin.

the reason i think why people are freaking out about that is because the mian civilization was cut short and couldnt have writen another calender because they were all dead
ReplyDeleteI need to tell you, the Mayans didn't die out, they still exist, I know because there are Mayans in my family history. The Mayans calculated time for tens of thousands of years into the future, that was part of the brilliance of their astronomy, the ability to do that.
